Aviation Security Half Day Conference

Thursday 24 November 2011, Intellect Conference Suite, London WC1B

Book Now

What's being talked about?

In the wake of the attempted attack on Detroit airport in December 2009 and the discovery of a plan to detonate 2 printer cartridge bombs mid-air in October 2010, aviation security has rightly caught the public's attention and returned to the top of the policy agenda. The UK is fast establishing itself at the forefront of ensuring both passenger and cargo security in the aviation sector, with technology critical to both these areas.  Whether it's body scanners and detectors or leveraging our understanding of passenger behaviour through the sharing of their data, technology provides innovative solutions in the constantly shifting environment of aviation.

This half day conference will look at recent political and policy developments relating to aviation security.

James Brokenshire, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Crime and Security, will be joining us to give the Home Office perspective into the coalition government's vision for aviation security.

This half day event will then look more in-depth at the areas of passengers and their data, as well as cargo and airport security through two panel debates, giving attendees the chance to discuss the topics of the day with senior policy and decision makers from the aviation industry.
