Intellect added to speaker line-up for Web 2.0 Security Summit

London. 03 February 2012: Intellect, the trade association for the ICT sector, will host a live webinar for the Web 2.0 Security Summit on 08 February 2012 at 12:00, organised by BrightTalk. Raj Sivalingam, Associate Director of Telecoms and Spectrum and Colin Batten, Head of Internet and Media, will provide expert knowledge about online child safety and consumer devices.

Web 2.0 assumes active participation in the World Wide Web by both service providers and end-users. The collaborative online environment empowers millions of users, but also opens countless gates for cyber criminals. In contrast to what is commonly assumed, it is not just service providers that should be responsible for securing web applications and services. Users also need to be aware of and understand the potential vulnerabilities. This summit will explore the latest threats and provide essential information for both IT security professionals and end-users. World-class experts will share how they have succeeded in protecting the web 2.0 environment, as well as their failings and the lessons they have learned.

The Web 2.0 Security Summit will include 10 interactive webinars internationally. The summit line-up includes:

  • Adjusting our defences for 2012
Paul Henry, Security & Forensics Analyst
