Focus: ensuring that policymakers and the industry are fully informed and able to address the growing biometrics market in a cohesive and consultative way. Previously an external organisation, the International Association for Biometrics was made part of Intellect’s Identity & Information Management work in 2007.
Key focus areas
- the exchange of expertise, information and ideas between the biometrics industry and stakeholders, including government and SMEs
- growth of the market through the informed development of new applications and value-based uses for biometrics
- ensuring that policymakers, customers and other stakeholders are well informed about the value and benefits of biometrics
- thought leadership and guidance, and to promote the successful implementation of biometrics
- best practice throughout the supply chain
