Jan Gower is the leader of IBM's civil government industry team across all lines of business including consulting, systems integration, outsourcing, hardware and software. Before taking on her current role, she led IBM's civil government consulting business. She has twenty seven years experience working with public sector organisations, both leading large teams and providing strategic Board level advice. As a consultant, her work has focused on transformation, particularly enabling change through the introduction of new major systems and ways of working.

Jan began her Consulting career at "The Economist Informatics", a small consulting business aligned to The Economist Group. The team that she worked with there were responsible for evaluating the success of the Government's "IT82" initiative, where Public Sector organisations used investment from the DTI to introduce new office systems. From there, she joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1985. After nine years of working across the Public Sector, she joined Andersen Consulting and worked mostly with the Department for Work and Pensions. Jan rejoined Coopers & Lybrand to lead the Public Sector Systems business in 1997 and has subsequently been a Partner in its successor firms: PwC Consulting business and IBM Global Business Services.

Jan was President of the Management Consultancies Association, the body which represents the management consulting industry, from 2009 to 2010.

Client Relationship Executive

Sharon Brengosz is the Client Relationship Executive within CSC’s Public Sector.

She has responsibility for developing and building client relationships with both new and existing organisations to CSC within UK central government identifying and qualifying new business opportunities for CSC. She has held this position since September 2008.

Previously, Sharon was Executive Consultant for Capgemini for 10 years where she was responsible for leading and delivering major IT enabled transformation and change programmes in both private and public sector organisations in the UK and globally.

Prior to joining the IT services industry, she held several positions in Shell in both operations and marketing.
