The Intellect Communications Council (ICC) deals with issues that include the regulation of Next Generation Networks (NGN), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Public Electronic Communication Service (PECS) and Publicly Available Telephone Service (PATS), which address all matters directly affecting the telecoms industry.

Intellect Communications Council

Focus of the Intellect Communications Council

Committee members are drawn from representatives of Intellect member companies with significant current or potential telecoms related business.

Some of the aims of the Intellect Communications Council are to:

• establish a clear vision of what Intellect members in this industry want in terms of ongoing Government policy and regulation
• identify clear policy goals and priorities
• establish clear messages in all policy areas for communication by Intellect and its members
• promote success to date in various media in areas of common interest to members including VoIP and Broadband
