Public Sector | Transport Group

Transport GroupInforms stakeholders of the contributions that technology can make to transport systems/services, offers a forum for members to learn about and discuss developments in the sector, and seeks to optimise the trading environment.

The transport infrastructure in the UK underpins our economic and social activities. The performance of the transport network is a crucial enabler of sustained productivity and competitiveness in the UK. However, trains, roads, tubes and buses are becoming increasingly crowded as society becomes more mobile and every year demand for transport increases. To meet these demands we need a modern transport system that will depend greatly on technology to run smoothly; to make transport more efficient, increase accessibility, improve road safety and reduce the environmental impact.
